I am truly blessed...

It did take me all morning to get the car loaded and organized in the fashion in which I felt like it would work best.  Tall trash can right behind the third row, everyone passes their trash back and it all goes to one simple place, genious!  We filled that sucker up all the way today.  *its like a 13 gallon

We got off to a good start by eating lucnh before we hit the road.  I am proud.  This trip is a budgeted one, which is not always the case when we venture out.  However, since it was last minute, there has to be a budget.

I packed an icechest with drinks and snacks, then the kids got snacks from the house(crackers, chips, poptarts, fruit, jerky, rice crispy treats, cereal bars, etc.)  Each got a ziploc bag, a large one and I told them to fill it up with the snacks they chose.  Today this has worked well.  We have not been getting drinks either, I had each kid bring their reusable water bottles and  I have an icechest with ice water and a few other goodies.  So we drink water and save on our meals.  I budgeted 1 sitdown meal a day, but until we get there I dont know if that will actually happen.

Today when it was "sit down" time I had stopped at a rest stop and changed diapers, played with the baby girls, got a kink out of my back, woke myself up becuase it was pretty quiet in the car.  I almost let the kids get their scooters out.  BUT>..did not, Maybe that is something they can do today.

I love my life.  These kids have surprised me.  The babies did alright, thanks to my oldest sons wonderful demeanor with young children if they got upset, he fixed it quickly.

I am actually looking foward to tomorrow and would love to make it all the way to VA BEACH.  THANKS FOR READING!
