The beach will always be one of my favorite get-a-ways. We are shacked up in a beach side hotel with no ammenities other than convenience to Flipper Mccoys across the street :D, which is a gaming arcade for the kids.
I love sitting here looking our the window at the ocean view, it is so beautiful, cracking the door at night & listening to the sound of the crashing of the waves on the shore.
The sunrise was so beautiful this morning as my husband woke me to say goodbye before he headed off to his (tap) class. Oh, I don't know how long it will be before we live oceanside again, but I will certainly make sure we come back to visit.
I took the kids to the giftshop and stocked up on gifts. Everyone got shirts and jewlrey. I got my five year old(whom is with her nanna/grandma)some stuff. I do miss her ever so much...not her high maitnenceness(if that is a word, just her loving, outgoing personality!
The kids have been particularly well behaved. Our ventures have included Ripleys Believe it or Not in Williamsburg, VA as well as the beach yesterday. Hailey(our 1 1/2 year old) loved it so much, she wanted to ge into the water and sit down. My how my parenting skills have changed from 1 kid to 6 kids. I would have had a fit with my first four, however these last two, or even three, I have become less of a "prude". I let her enjoy herself, although we could not take our eye off her for a second. I was trying to snap pictures and in that moment, she run straight into the water. It was warm outside, however, the water temperature was still a bit chilly!
I think we may do kite flying this afternoon if the wind is good. I hate that hubby must spend his days in school, it is what it is though. I can't handle taking the kids out to the water because a 7 month old and 18 month old is a HANDFULL on the ocean front.
Oh, I love my family and I am just looking foward to the rest of the week. Making good my children is one of my greatest joys in life!
