I had a busy day. It started off slow, however I managed to speed up the pace as I chased my 17 month old around the auto parts store while I waited for my SUV to be serviced. That took a whole hour. In that hour, well, Hailey gathered up about 20 lint rollers, haha, at the auto part store, for IDK, I guess pet hair? Yeah, I guess.
Geesh, I forget how busy she can keep me, once I had a fight with her about putting those back up, she was on to the hot wheels cars. Gosh, how brilliant these folks at the auto part store are, putting all this stuff down here where my little girl is so tempted to "play" in all she can see. I should seriously have more control over my 5th child, I just can hardly bring myself to tell her no. I just trail behind her and put up as she tears up.
Finally an hour the shop guy informs me my "hoses" need replaced. All of them? Uh, how much? ah, just a stiff $500. Well, sir...my husband can replace them after I make the 1200 mile trip. He said he didnt reccomend driving all the way when my "hoses" felt soft? wtf? I swear always trying to rip a woman off. Absolute insanity.
I cleaned the car out today, you want to know what I discovered. Well, first, I discovered I don't clean my car out enough. Second, well, I knew that my kids had drawn in ink on our leather seat(3rd row mind you) in our 2001 Yukon, HOWEVER...I did not know that the artwork extended into the bottom of the seat(where your sit your arse)...Oh yeah! I was cursing the whole time I was cleaning, wtf? I swear these kids, and every single one of them will say they did not do it. Every single one of them would point the blame at the other, just like when the toilet got filled with tampons yesterday. Noone knows...
Okay, so now that I got all that off my chest, on with the rat killing. The day flew by, our suitcases are not even packed. I had to buy a new GPS, because our old one got stolen out of our car(nearly a year and half ago). I also had to spend a good portion of my day doing neglected household chores because I don't want to leave with dirty laundry or dishes and I have been spending way to much time on my blog, searching for freebies, or nosing around with other ThredUp mommies ;)...oh and going through my ever growing pile of outgrown clothing. A queen size bed full stacked at least a foot high. Thanks six kids, or is that my clothing addiction to blame? Eh...
Tomorrow I will be Virginia Beach bound, be sure to check my blog for updates along the way ;)...Oh, and I am only taking five kids, my mother was nice enough to take my five year old.(whom thinks she is grown) off my hands and spend the next week with her. Gah, I love her to pieces, but whoo...if I ever needed a break from a kid...yeah...I don't have to say it...just whew!!!Driving across the country with this high maintence diva would be "breath taking". haha!
Her wardrobe for next week consisted of five funky outfits, a coat, a rain jacket, croc boots, jellies, tennis shoes, and mary janes. Yeah, that is just for a week, you should have seen her "snack" supply!
