This set of toys are awesome.  Wowee is very innovative and you can always expect something unique from them.  Paper Jamz may not be for the "real" guitar player, however it is perfect for any child that wants to jam out without spending hours to learn how.

You can play in three different modes, one of which you strum your own tune.  There are no knobs poking out on this which to me makes it extremely kid friendly.  (my 17 month old loves this toy, even though it was bought for my 9 year old)  It is flat and everything is by touch and sensored by the lightest touch of your finger.  The amp works pretty well, similar to a cheap set of computer speakers, which could be used too, because the amp is a cardboard box :/ . The drums work all the same, you can hit the base, the symbols, you can rock out, without having to plug anything in because both the guitar and drums have their own mini amp and make sound on their own.

I like these, because you can buy one piece at a time and add to the collection throughout the year, there are quiet a few guitar sets, even series I , and series II available now. There are at least two different drums that I know of.  You can also buy guitar straps.  Each guitar plays three different tunes.  I rate this product a must have for any child over the age of 8 that does not play the real thing.
