Escalade Sports-Oasis Wooden Playset

Escalade Sports recalled about 4,600 of its Oasis Playsets because the swing seats can crack and break, dumping kids on the ground, said the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Escalade Sports has 24 reports of breaking seats and so far no one has been hurt. Included in the recall are the green plastic, belt-style swing seat on Oasis Playsets models PG01W, PG02W, PG03W and PG04W. Model numbers can be found on a plate on the swing's horizontal beam. The China-made seats have rounded ends with black grommets.

The recalled play sets were sold at Oasis distributors and dealers nationwide from April 2008 to December 2010 for between $1,500 and $2,200 each. Oasis Playsets are also currently sold at some retailers including Sears.

Consumers should stop using the recalled swing sets and contact Escalade Sports for replacement seats. Contact Escalade Sports at (800) 742-6009 weekdays between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Eastern Time or by email.
