Ordered the crib offline, to my surprise it got here with no damage, it was packaged pretty well with styrofoam. My husband was deployed, I managed to push it through the house to the bedroom. Assembly is not made for one person, I spent two hours doing it, two people could tackle it in 30 minutes or less, instructions are very easy to understand. Bed was sturdy, as sturdy as you expect particle board to be. It was beautiful in appearance, the bolts are inset without covers, so you can dab a q-tip with white paint on each after assembly for a smoother appearance.
I was very pleased with the fixed side, which all cribs on the market are like this now for safety reasons. I was pregnant and it wasnt to hard on my belly(I am 5''5" to bend over to pick up my one year old out of the crib).
My disappointment came after nap time one day, my daughter had chewed off the paint, I do believe this is the last white finish product I will purchase, at least white on particle board. So, the whole rail is basically ruined in appearance.(I now understand as well why the white is so much cheaper than the stain finish) I could have contacted the company, I didn't though, I am not good with those type things. I felt like I could have prevented this from happening had I bought a teething rail, I mean five kids in you think I would have known this. It has never happened previously with two other brand cribs.
My daughter was 15 months old and again woke up from nap-time, she had been playing in her crib, which she does when she wakes up. I hear a piercing scream, I run to see what is wrong, I assume she just wants out, immediately. To my awe, my daughters fat little leg is stuck in-between the rails of the crib. Of course I am panicking and freaking out, scream for my husband who was home on leave from a 10 month deployment (thankfully). Her leg was so wedged in there! I layed her back to try and get her to relax her leg and nothing, my husband tried forcing the rails apart, they really dont give because they were assembled at factory. It honestly took us 3-4 minutes to get her leg out and it was literally bruised from the trauma. We were fixing to get a jigsaw and literally cut the rail in half. This experience has completely made me fearful of putting her back in the crib, so she sleeps in a pack in play now. I assume when my 5 month old starts moving around I will do the same thing, because I am not sure this is avoidable. (we had a thick bumper in the crib)...you get what you pay for...
